The proprietor, Debbie Heneghan, has been a hairdresser since 1980.  She learned her skills at the Somerville Vocational Technical Trade School and started working at Joys of Hair at the end of 1984, when the establishment was owned by Joy Senior and Junior -- for whom it was named!

Debbie purchased the salon from the prior owners in 1992 and has been happily performing her services since then for many satisfied customers.

An interesting note:  the storefront of Joys of Hair on Common Street has been a hair salon for over 50 years and was originally owned by a Mr. & Mrs. Evans.
